Although the job was relatively small, you all gave it the most professional attention as if it was much bigger! A Fortunate Accident

A few weeks ago, I was involved in a minor accident on the Boston Post Road at the intersection of River Street when a Land Rover, pulling out of the Mobil gas station, hit me on the passenger side of my vehicle. 

The good news is that no one was hurt. In the course of exchanging information with the driver, he told me that he was an employee of Land Rover of Guilford. I didn't know then how lucky I was.

After a brief call to my insurance company, I was directed to call Land Rover to make the appropriate arrangements. When I spoke with Sue Weidmann, who manages the dealership on Route 1, she explained that she was working on the incident and would call me back momentarily.

As promised, she called me back within a half hour and asked that I bring my vehicle to the dealership and told me that a rental car representative would be waiting for me upon my arrival. I then met Larry, owner of Supreme Auto body in Branford. Land Rover had already made the arrangements with Supreme Auto Body to perform the body work on my vehicle. 

At Sue's direction, Larry was instructed to make everything perfect and I went on my way in my rental car, impressed by the way that everyone involved had handled the situation.

From that point and until I picked up my vehicle, I received emails from Sue and phone calls from Larry updating me on my vehicle's repair process. 

To make a long story short, when I picked up my vehicle last weekend, I was blown away. It looked better than the day I bought it brand new (well almost - my kids have trashed the inside). I dropped off the rental car, Land Rover arranged for payment and I was on my way.

To those of you reading this, the title of this letter to the editor now probably makes sense. Supreme Auto Body is first class and Land Rover of Guilford went above and beyond my expectations. 

If Land Rover takes such great care of someone who isn't even a customer, I can't imagine the quality of service they give to someone who is. My hat is off to Sue at Land Rover of Guilford and Larry at Supreme Auto Body. Jobs well done.
